Missed a Week

Man, did I overlook how important it was not to miss any workouts or diets in this plan!

The first week, I lost four pounds (198) and made it through OK. Then, after a few burps on the family radar, I ended up missing a week of workout, but tried hard to stick to the diet (didn't happen).

So, I'm one pound under where I started (202) and desperately need to get back on the horse.

No lie, this is a tough, tough program to master.

I'll keep you updated!

Core Synergistics

I hit the Core today ... I admit I wasn't ready ... but I got through it. I had to improvise on the pull ups since I don't have a pull-up bar yet, so I did military presses with my curl bar ... the burn is killer! :(

And, yes, it did seem like that hour was more like two hours at the end. But ...

Focus on the end ... A healthier, better B!

Talk atcha 'morrow!

G.T. --> No more cheatin' for either of us!

D-Day

The time has come ... it's countdown zero!

Tomorrow I begin the 'worst' 90 days of my life (according to P90X grads) ... but it will all be worth it if I can break that unachievable goal of 180 pounds.

For years after college, I have tried to leave the ranks of 200+ pounds and return to my days of 180 pounds. I have hovered at around 200 pounds for the last 12 years, with a few stints of 215 pounds! Not my best days, I admit!

I really want to get back to 180 ... not only for personal gratification, but for my family! My father is still recuperating from triple-bypass surgery due to a 100% blocked artery in his heart. Hereditary or diet, the potential for me to follow the same path is disconcerting. I don't want to be unhealthy!

And, with the arrival of my second child in November, I want to be in the best shape I can be to spend some awesome, quality years with my two kids. My two stepsons, Chris and Cameron, are pretty much set in their paths to play video games most of the day and avoid as much physical activity as possible. Maybe if I get back into shape, it will entice them to get off the couch and back outside to 'enjoy' life a lil' bit! That's my wish!

So, I'm attempting to try and turn it all around on June 1, 2009! Wish me luck, and come back often to see my progress from Day 1 to Day 90!

Warning: The first photo of the program will be posted tomorrow ... it's for the faint of heart or those who have a high vomit factor! LOL!
